African History Saturdays
African History Saturdays are monthly educational events held on the first Saturday of each month from March through October. These sessions are designed to educate, inspire, and empower attendees by exploring a wide range of topics in African and African American history, as well as current issues impacting the community. Each event features dynamic speakers covering subjects such as healthcare, prison reform, Black business development, and youth leadership in social movements.
While the events are youth-focused, they are open to all community members. RSVP is required to ensure accurate lunch counts; lunch is provided, thanks to the support of local sponsors.
The goal of African History Saturdays is to inform the community about historical and contemporary issues affecting the advancement of African people worldwide—encouraging families from all backgrounds to join in learning and discussion.
We look forward to seeing you at the next African History Saturday!
